About the Movie

Saptadingar Guptodhon is a Bengali adventure thriller released on 15 May 2026, directed by Dhrubo Banerjee. The fourth chapter in the popular Guptodhon franchise, the film reunites beloved characters for a sprawling new mystery set against the breathtaking and treacherous backdrop of the Sundarbans.

Starcast: Abir Chatterjee returns as the brilliant and intrepid Professor Subarna Sen, fondly known as Sona Da — the intellectual heart of every adventure. Arjun Chakraborty reprises his fan-favourite role as Abir, Sona Da's lovable and food-obsessed nephew. Ishaa Saha plays Jhinuk, Abir's fiancée, bringing warmth and sharp instincts to the team. Kaushik Ganguly and Rajatabha Dutta deliver memorable supporting performances.

The Plot & Characters: Sona Da, Abir, and Jhinuk travel deep into the Sundarbans, drawn by a mystery linking Raja Pratapaditya of Jessore — a powerful 17th-century ruler — to the mythological tale of sea merchant Chaand Saudagar and his ill-fated son Lakhindar. Ancient clues, cryptic puzzles, and dangerous rivals stand between the trio and a legendary hidden treasure. The film balances its rich historical mythology with the warmth and humour that have made the Guptodhon series a cornerstone of Bengali popular cinema.

Saptadingar Guptodhon is a rewarding adventure for franchise fans and a wonderful entry point for newcomers seeking rich, culturally rooted Bengali storytelling.
