Saptadingar Guptodhon Day 8 Box Office: Early Estimates Suggest ₹0.26 Cr, Total Net Nears ₹3.5 Cr

Saptadingar Guptodhon Day 8 Box Office: Early Estimates Suggest ₹0.26 Cr, Total Net Nears ₹3.5 Cr

The adventure-thriller Saptadingar Guptodhon, which hit theatres on May 15, 2026, has navigated a rather turbulent first week at the box office and is now entering its second week. Early estimates for its eighth day, May 22, 2026, suggest the film is expected to collect around ₹0.26 crore net India, bringing its total estimated net India collection to ₹3.32 crore. This translates to an estimated gross India collection of ₹3.92 crore, representing the total value of tickets sold before taxes.

The film's journey began with a modest ₹0.29 crore on its opening day (Thursday, May 15). It then witnessed a healthy jump over the first two days of the weekend, collecting ₹0.57 crore on Friday (Day 2) and an impressive ₹1.02 crore on Saturday (Day 3). However, the momentum took an unexpected and sharp turn on Sunday (Day 4), with collections plummeting to just ₹0.28 crore. This significant drop on a typically strong weekend day is a major point of concern, indicating either highly front-loaded initial interest that fizzled out quickly or strong competition that weekend which limited its reach.

The subsequent weekdays saw a relatively stable but low performance, with the film managing around ₹0.30 crore each from Monday (Day 5) to Wednesday (Day 7). This brought its estimated first-week total to ₹3.06 crore net India. Entering its second week on Thursday (Day 8), the film has shown a further decline, with initial reports suggesting today's collection at ₹0.26 crore. This drop, while a normal weekday pattern, signifies that the film is struggling to find consistent audience traction beyond its initial, albeit inconsistent, weekend run.

Given the current trend, especially the steep fall post-Saturday and the low second-week start, the film is projected to struggle significantly to add substantial numbers to its kitty. While it has now crossed the ₹3 crore net mark, its lifetime projection appears to be capped well below the ₹4 crore net India mark, with unofficial estimates indicating it might conclude its run somewhere in the ₹3.50 crore to ₹3.75 crore net India range, barring any unforeseen boosts in its second weekend.

With no official budget figures released, it's difficult to ascertain the film's profitability. However, even for a modest Hindi adventure-thriller, a sub-₹4 crore net India collection is a challenging number for distributors to recover investments from theatrical revenue alone. In the competitive landscape of Hindi cinema, adventure-thrillers often require strong word-of-mouth or star power to truly break out. Saptadingar Guptodhon, unfortunately, hasn't managed to generate that buzz. The modest theatrical run will undoubtedly impact its negotiation power for OTT and satellite rights, which usually rely on a film's box office performance as a key metric for valuation. Rights might be sold, but likely at a much more conservative price point.

BoxOfficeIndia24 Multiplex Data Analysis

Our exclusive BoxOfficeIndia24 multiplex circuit analysis reveals varying demand patterns for Saptadingar Guptodhon on its eighth day. In the PVR chain, ticket sales witnessed a significant drop of approximately 46% compared to yesterday. Today, 1,020 tickets were sold across 8 theatres from 18 shows, down from 1,880 tickets across 9 theatres and 32 shows yesterday. This indicates a sharp decline in footfalls and a reduced screen count within this key multiplex player.

In contrast, the INOX chain showed much better stability, registering only an estimated 3% dip in ticket sales day-on-day. Today, INOX sold an estimated 3,324 tickets across 20 theatres and 74 shows, a marginal decrease from yesterday's 3,428 tickets across 22 theatres and 84 shows. The stark difference in day-on-day change between PVR and INOX suggests varying chain-level demand or perhaps differences in screen allocations and show timings across the two major chains, with INOX showing more resilience.

The combined multiplex circuit of PVR and INOX saw total footfalls for Saptadingar Guptodhon reduce from 5,308 tickets yesterday to 4,344 tickets today across 28 theatres. The overall decline in the multiplex sector reinforces the film's struggle to maintain momentum, with per-screen averages also seeing a downward trend. The lack of robust advance momentum going into the second weekend will be a key challenge for the film to salvage any meaningful numbers.

As Saptadingar Guptodhon enters its second weekend, the coming days will be crucial to see if it can attract any lingering audience interest. However, based on current trends, the path ahead looks challenging for this adventure-thriller in its theatrical run.
